Highlights

It’s been another busy week in AR+VR! In addition to keeping you up-to-date on the top AR+VR news, funding activity, and launch announcements, here are the three stories you need to know: Oculus Rift S, HP Copper and Celebrity Digital Twins.

Oculus' next Rift may be called the Rift S according to reports that filenames in Oculus software support this naming convention. It is expected that the Rift S will feature onboard cameras enabling inside-out tracking.

Meanwhile, Road to VR's Ben Lang got a sneak peek of an upcoming Windows Mixed Reality headset from HP codenamed Copper, which "aims to raise the bar on clarity and comfort."

Finally, Apple and Google both launched celebrity digital twins last week with Apple teaming up with Ariana Grande to create a Memoji video of her hit single "7 Rings" and Google launching a Childish Gambino Playmoji character for Pixel phones.
