Highlights

It’s been another busy week in AR+VR! In addition to keeping you up-to-date on the top AR+VR news, funding activity, and launch announcements, here are the three stories you need to know: 8.9M AR/VR headsets, 100M AR shoppers, and Snapchat updates.

IDC has released new stats on AR/VR headset shipments, which they expect to jump 54% this year to 8.9 million units worldwide.

Meanwhile, Gartner predicts that 100 million people will shop with AR by 2020. 

Finally, Snap debuted a number of new solutions at its Partner Summit, including updates to Lens Studio giving creators the ability to track hands, bodies and pets for augmented reality.
