Apelab is a studio & lab focused on immersive technologies. The company was initially founded in 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland, by a trio of interaction designers passionate about the future of immersive media. The team extended the company to Los Angeles in 2016 and raised a seed round which included Vive X and Alpana Ventures. The team works on original content & interaction design tools heavily crafted around emerging tech exploring blockchain, machine learning, AR, VR, and MR. Since 2018, apelab has made available SpatialStories, an open-source toolkit dedicated to immersive content creation and education.
