Aislinn Gómez Bergin
Research Fellow MindTech

Dr Aislinn Gómez Bergin has worked in MindTech, an NIHR MedTech Cooperative at the University of Nottingham, from 2018 on two work-packages for the exciting and prestigious gameChange project on the use of immersive virtual reality to help people with psychosis who get anxious in everyday situations. Led by Professor Daniel Freeman from Oxford University, it was winner of the NIHR i4i Mental Health Challenge Award. The first work-package focused on Implementation and NHS Adoption of the VR technology and the second on Health Economics, Commissioning and Commercialisation. She has also contributed chapters on clinical mental health and health economics to a report on the Growing Value of XR in Healthcare which highlighted how XR therapies and interventions can support the NHS to improve the healthcare of our nation.


Aislinn has experience working with industry and across different sectors. She has supported the development of value propositions and informed business cases for digital mental health companies, from SMEs to large enterprises. Her work has led to the funding and development of several impact case studies demonstrating MindTech & collaboration with SMEs.


As co-lead of an Emerging Minds special interest research group for Young Peoples & Involvement in Digital Mental Health (YPii DMH), Aislinn also develops networking and involvement opportunities for young people and stakeholders within digital mental health using innovative virtual platforms.
