Nathan Ornick is a visionary executive leader and pioneer at the intersection of creative technology, experience design, and spatial computing. With a career spanning over two decades and three continents, Nathan has established himself as a forward-thinking expert in transforming ambitious creative concepts into tangible, award-winning realities.
His journey began in the worlds of video game production and visual effects, where he managed innovative motion capture studios and led production for iconic titles like Killzone and the Rose d'Or-nominated series Café de Wereld. This foundational experience in real-time 3D and complex production pipelines set the stage for his deep dive into the emerging field of XR.
As the Head of Production for Switzerland's first brand gaming agency, he co-founded and led the development of the SGDA Game of the Year, "Perils of Man." Later, as an Executive Manager in Dubai, he produced large-scale integrated media campaigns for global brands like Marriott, Cavalli, and Cirque du Soleil, and major attractions like Dubai Parks & Resorts.
His recent work in Switzerland has solidified his reputation as a leader in experiential XR. As a Program Director and Project Owner, Nathan spearheaded development of the technology behind the "Wonders of Medicine" exhibition at the Novartis Pavillon. He led a cross-functional team to create and deploy a groundbreaking Mixed Reality platform, featuring custom-designed hardware with UWB tracking, a sophisticated Unity-based digital twin, and a seamless, personalized user experience driven by real-time data. This project, which has garnered over 20 international awards including a Red Dot Grand Prix and a D&AD Pencil, stands as a benchmark for what is possible in public-facing immersive installations.
Today, as the Founding Partner of Boost+, Nathan continues to push the boundaries of technology and storytelling, leading R&D in Generative AI and developing innovative XR solutions for cultural institutions and global brands. He is a passionate advocate for human-centered design, a mentor to startups, and a respected voice on the future of interactive and immersive experiences.
