Christian Stein is the Co-Founder and CEO of Threedy GmbH (instant3Dhub), a technology company headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, since October 2020. Stein leads Threedy in developing innovative 3D visualization solutions that empower industries to interact with complex engineering data in real time. His work has centered on bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial applications, fostering digital transformation in manufacturing and engineering.

Before co-founding Threedy, Stein made significant contributions at Fraunhofer IGD, a leading European institute for applied visual computing. There, he progressed from researcher to co-heading a department, directing projects in interactive 3D visualization, cloud computing, and virtual engineering. His research focused on scalable visualization platforms and collaborative engineering environments, which laid the groundwork for instant3Dhub’s technology.

Stein’s career also includes experience in software engineering with roles at weltenbauer. Software Entwicklung GmbH and Electronic Arts (EA), where he gained practical industry expertise in developing and deploying complex software systems.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Software Campus program, a development initiative aimed at cultivating the next generation of IT leadership. Throughout his career, Stein has been recognized for his leadership, technical vision, and ability to translate scientific advances into viable business solutions.
