Andreea Ion Cojocaru is an architect, software developer, and co-founder of NUMENA, a research-driven technology company pioneering XR- and AI-powered spatial simulations. Her work merges architecture, immersive technology, and human-computer interaction to create tools that help people explore new solution spaces.

At NUMENA, Andreea leads projects that combine digital twins, real-time rendering, and AI-driven design to tackle complex challenges in planning, training, and decision-making. From reimagining urban environments to advancing workforce training, her work helps clients tackle old and new problems through interactive and embodied sim applications.

Formally trained at MIT and Yale, where she received the AIA Gold Medal for best graduating master student, Andreea brings a multidisciplinary approach rooted in design excellence and technical innovation. Prior to founding NUMENA, she gained experience at leading architecture firms KPF and RAMSA in New York.

A recipient of multiple fellowships, Andreea is a frequent speaker at global events including SXSW, Cornell Tech, and the UW Reality Lab. She is currently developing next-generation digital tools as part of a €12 million HORIZON Europe infrastructure project, along with several innovation initiatives funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
