Eric is a pioneer in 360 VR imaging. As the lead engineer of Apple QuickTime VR in early 90s, Eric invented the core technology and wrote the first panoramic image stitcher and 360 viewer on an Apple Macintosh. Eric was the principal 360 photographer of the Star Trek Enterprise in the first interactive virtual tour of the starship. Eric has published extensively in his early career and two of his papers were selected as seminal papers by Siggraph. He is named top 100 most influential scholars in graphics. Eric is a serial tech entrepreneur and has 3 successful exits to companies including Live Picture, WebEx and Avaya. He is currently the CEO of Bellus3D, a company specialized in 3d face scanning.
