Project Manager and Curator Montefiore Health System
Olivia Davis is the Curator of theFine Art Program and Collection at Montefiore Einstein.She is also the Co-Founder and Project Manager of the recently established CHILZone: The Children’s Hospital Innovation Lab at Montefiore.Since 2014, Olivia has been responsible for overseeing the implementation of a comprehensive visual arts program of the highest quality. Through commissions, acquisitions, rotating exhibition programs, donations, and innovative technologies, she is helping to provide Montefiore with a life affirming, healing and supportive environment for patients, families, caregivers, students, faculty, and staff while also building a world-class art collection that befits the mission and goals of Montefiore.The CHILZone is a premier multi-disciplinary think tank focused on vetting, testing, and implementing digital technology –such as augmented/virtual/mixed reality, digital programming, and 3D printing –with the goal of helping pediatric patients reduce pain, anxiety and opioid use through stimulus-rich, curated artistic environments. Since its inception, Olivia has commissioned two virtual reality paintings, built a Montefiore VR library App, commissioned a VR photography piece that was listed in the Top 100 projects in the country, was featured in Forbes Magazine and Crain’s Business Magazine, and received an International Corporate Art Award for innovation in art and healthcare. Prior to joining Montefiore, Olivia was the Co-Creator and Assistant Manager of the NYU Langone Medical Center Art Program and Collection. She has also held positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art Program, and the National Portrait Gallery in London.Ms. Davis holds aBachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester and a Master of Arts degree from New York University.
