James started his career in digital marketing and innovation over 20 years ago working for a travel tech start-up in Sydney. From there he went on to work for globally renowned advertising agency Ogilvy, where he lead digital marketing programmes for clients including Cisco and Philips.
His focus on technology marketing lead to him joining creative technology agency Imagination, where he set up their immersive technology division, developing enterprise VR solutions for brands including Shell and Major League Baseball.
Most recently, as Chief Marketing Officer at Immerse they went on to become the market leader in enterprise VR, winning numerous industry awards along the way. He has now set up XRTech Marketing, a consultancy focused solely on the immersive technology sector. As the sector matures and expands, his consultancy addresses a clear need for companies to be able to develop their marketing programmes alongside product development.
