Tony Hodgson is Founder/CEO of Brainwaive LLC, a global advisory to enterprise clients on AR/VR, emerging technology and cyber security. Brainwaive leads the Security and Privacy Committees of both the AR for Enterprise Alliance (AREA) and the Open AR Cloud initiative. Brainwaive recently led a research team with Mozilla, Georgia Tech Augmented Environments Lab and Alfred University in New York focused on the use of Web-Based AR for Enterprise Applications. Early in his career, Tony supported NASA and commercial space programs as a systems engineer, then founded and sold three award-winning software/IT firms. He led the MCI account team providing $100M in global data, voice and video services to NASA, and managed global enterprise accounts for Verizon Wireless. For Verizon HQ Marketing, Tony led large matrixed teams in various integrated mobile, cloud and IoT product developments, and he founded their wearable computing & augmented reality program. Tony was development director for one of the largest tech incubators in the US, and has authored over 150 technical and research reports, feasibility studies and business plans. He earned engineering degrees from Texas A&M and the University of Texas – Arlington; he holds multiple industry certifications, and supports AR-related global standards development initiatives.
