Kate McCallum is a futures-oriented media professional currently producing and creating fulldome and MR/VR content. Kate spent 20 years in traditional media and storytelling working at Universal and Paramount Studios with writers/showrunners on primetime television series and feature films, and spent eight of those years as a development executive for Western Sandblast during a TV deal with Paramount. Kate is currently producing and distributing MESMERICA, a 360 fulldome visual music fulldome project, both live and cinema. Kate has been a speaker and teacher internationally on the topics of transmedia and the future of entertainment. She's a member of the TV Academy and the Producers Guild of America, and spent six years serving on the board of the PGA New Media Council and three on the National Board, and was the recipient of the 2019 PGA Marc A. Levey Award. Kate also serves as the managing editor of Camera Operator magazine, the SOC: Society of Camera Operators trade publication.
