Deb is an AR/VR engineer and accessibility specialist. She has been working in the XR field for 6 years after starting out using VR to (re)create Ancient Historical sites to see if people can learn about the past. Since then, Deb has been working on using AR/VR for various use cases, such as using WebXR to recreate an office space and show wayfinding, helping people learn how to read hieroglyphs, and using AR to show multiple interpretations and context of artifacts in museums. Deb got started in Accessibility when developing a website that was not accessible to her. Since then, she has gotten certifications in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility (WAS), and is now a Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA).
