Gang Li obtained an MSc in Computer Science and Engineering and a PhD in Electronic Engineering from two different universities in South Korea. He was a visiting scholar at UC San Francisco in the US and a research assistant professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. Currently, he is a postdoc researcher leading a UK medical research council-funded VR neuroergonomics research in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience. He has authored dozens of scientific articles and has been a chief scientific advisor for a brain science startup company in China. His research and perspectives have been reported by Korean Yonhap News Agency, Scottish The Scotsman, and Shanghai Education TV programs. His research vision is to combine neuroscience and immersive XR technology to enhance brain/human functions in real-world settings.
