Johan Walters celebrates 11 years in Augmented Reality in 2024. As a seasoned Digital Marketer with over 24 years of experience, Johan collaborates with brands and agencies to seamlessly integrate AR into their marketing strategies.

Currently, Johan serves as an Executive Producer, bringing brand concepts to life by working closely with creative designers, 3D model artists, and AR developers.

In South Africa, Johan has been a proud Zappar Partner, co-authoring Zappar's official training product and reselling Zappar solutions. Johan also has extensive experience producing projects across Blippar, Meta Spark, and TikTok Effect House platforms.

In 2023, Johan co-presented the webinar "Design Thinking for Augmented Reality" alongside Zappar on the AWE Live platform.

Johan has been a dedicated supporter of AWE, attending the following USA events: AWE USA in 2017 (Santa Clara), 2019 (Santa Clara), 2020 (virtual), 2021 (virtual), 2022 (Santa Clara), and 2024 (Long Beach). He eagerly anticipates attending AWE Europe for the first time if selected as a speaker.
