AWE Talks: Can XR Turn Dreams into Reality?
AWE USA 2022

Welcome back to AWE Talks, our series that plucks the greatest hits from the vast AWE conference archive. We now start a new chapter in the series, given that AWE 2022 is in the rear-view mirror. We'll be highlighting session videos for weeks to come.

And to kick off this new chapter for AWE Talks, what better way to start than conference chair Ori Inbar's opening address? It was a high-energy welcome, as always, with insights, laughs and a temperature reading on all the action in the XR world.

See the full video below along with quick-hit takeaways...

– XR is all about dreams... not the Freud variety but the Martin Luther King Jr. variety.
– This plays out on many levels including AR and VR user experiences, and startup aspirations.
– Starting with the former, XR products have allowed us to fulfill many dream-like experiences.
– That's everything from visiting far-off lands to flying and other immersive embodied experiences.
– As for startup aspirations, XR's nascent stage requires the boldness and creativity of dreamers.
– This entrepreneurial fervor continues to propel the XR community, which could be felt in the air at AWE.
– On another level, there are altruistic dreams such as support for Ukraine and mitigating climate change.
– On both counts, AWE has pledged support, including a 100,000 prize for XR-related green tech.
– The XR world will continue to be fueled by dreams while bringing users dreamlike UX and superpowers.
– As with all Inbar talks... you have to watch to get the full effect. Check it out below and keep dreaming.
