Welcome to another edition of the Weekly Spatial by AWE! In addition to keeping you up-to-date on the biggest news, funding activity and announcements in immersive tech, here are three stories that caught our eye last week:

Highlights

Whitney Houston is touring again...as a hologram. Base Hologram announced the new stadium tour and apparently Houston's estate is directly involved. The production will feature real dancers alongside the 3D version of Whitney.

Meanwhile, Kathy Bisbee, founder of Public VR Lab and co-director of the Brookline Interactive Group (BIG), spoke about making VR publicly accessible in Ms. Magazine: "We hope to help communities facilitate less polarized dialogue."

Finally, HTC has updated the Vive Cosmos with new faceplates: Cosmos Elite is intended for advanced PC VR games, while Cosmos Play is for entry-level VR apps. The Cosmos XR faceplate has high-quality passthrough cameras, enabling high-end AR applications. HTC also revealed a prototype AR headset: The Proton.
