Dr. Isabel Pedersen, Professor of Communication Studies, is an expert in emergent embodied technologies and the alignment of Artificial Intelligence (AI). She is widely recognized as a pioneer in the academic and cultural study of wearable technology. She is the founding Director of the Digital Life Institute (www.digitallife.org) at Ontario Tech University. She concentrates on social, ethical, and cultural implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), AI ethics, standards, and policy related to AI technologies.
