Lynn Welch is the Founder and Principal Advisor of The Lion’s View, a strategic advisory firm helping investors, boards, and executive teams navigate the commercialization and scale of AI and immersive technologies in complex, high-stakes, and regulated markets.

Lynn brings decades of leadership across the full lifecycle of advanced technology innovation—from early research and market formation to enterprise deployment and successful exits. Her career began in modeling and simulation at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA), where she contributed to early large-scale military training simulations and first-generation immersive research programs, including DARPA-sponsored initiatives such as the Battle of 73 Easting. She has since held senior growth and strategy roles across multiple venture- and private-equity-backed companies spanning AI analytics, immersive simulation, healthcare training, and integrated sensor technologies, supporting multiple acquisitions and public-market outcomes.

Through The Lion’s View, Lynn advises private equity firms, corporate leadership teams, and public-sector organizations on technology diligence, go-to-market strategy, and execution risk—helping leaders translate frontier AI and XR capabilities into durable, scalable, and operationally sound businesses. Her work focuses on aligning technical ambition with commercial reality, governance, and long-term value creation across sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, defense, and critical infrastructure.
