Lacey Nein is the director of the kleVR Lab at San Jose State University. Since entering the emerging‑technology arena in 2015, and immersing herself in XR in 2017, she has honed expertise in world‑building and narrative design for digital environments, crafting experiences that are both meaningful and impactful.

At SJSU, Lacey leverages XR to deepen learning for students, faculty, and staff, developing immersive classroom experiences across campus and leading workshops that guide participants through every step of creating their own AR/VR projects. Through the kleVR Lab, she also cultivates a “third space” on campus—a collaborative hub where community members can freely experiment, innovate, and learn from one another.
