Description

Augment the Imagination; Empower Humanity

Imagination has no boundaries—unless we impose them. To realize the full potential of Spatial Artificial Intelligence, we must focus not just on technological outputs but on human outcomes. Technology doesn’t care about humanity; people do. When imagination meets Spatial AI, innovation gains purpose—empowering individuals to envision who they might become and the world they can help create.

In this session, Christopher Stapleton explores The Conversational Embodied Story—a framework that connects people and place through mixed realities. Drawing on decades of cross‑sector work—from theme parks to rehabilitation clinics, training environments to civic experiences—Stapleton shows how Spatial AI 2.0 can transform imagination into action and strategy into human-centered innovation.

His “Roadmapping Innovation” approach and “Mixing Realities” method integrate engagement strategies with story, play, and games as practical tools for design and collaboration. This has led to his winning of the 2025 IEEE “Test of Time Award” for pioneering work in Mixed Reality. Stapleton has proven ways to turn emerging technologies into meaningful, measurable, and transformative experiences. He applied this to global entertainment and technology brands such as Universal, Disney, Canon, Technicolor, NASA and the National Science Foundation.
