Feature Film-Quality 6DoF: Exploring the Future of Cinematic Media

This session explores how feature-grade 6DoF can help define the future of cinematic media. Through two narrative pieces produced using V-Nova’s PresentZ technology — one animated, and one live-action short captured with a splat-like workflow enhanced by visual effects — the talk examines how high-end animation, VFX, and cinematic production tools can be adapted for immersive storytelling.

Using open-source films as a creative testbed, these projects explore how familiar cinematic language can evolve into spatial experiences that preserve image quality, authorial intent, and audience comfort. The result points toward a new kind of media: immersive, narrative, and built for presence and comfort.
