Dylan Baker is the founder of Five Squared Interactive and the architect of Web Wide Worlds, a framework for modular 3D spaces and accessible world-building on the open web. He is pioneering the development of WorldHub: a web portal for searching worlds, creating new ones, and managing avatars, as well as WebVerse: a highly flexible world browser that lets users enter and interact with a wide range of environments through simple URLs.

Through Five Squared Interactive, Dylan has been expanding what’s possible across the spatial web by connecting long‑standing platforms with open standards. His recent work includes bridging worlds from Minecraft and Cities: Skylines 2 into Web Wide Worlds, enabling users to interact with their existing creations in ways those platforms were never originally designed to support. His focus is on lowering barriers to world‑building while giving people new capabilities within the worlds they already love.

Dylan’s background spans computer networking, embedded systems, and 3D visualization. His experience includes leading the development of spacecraft flight software at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, where he has applied systems thinking to high-stakes engineering challenges. He also served as the lead architect of an XR platform for aerospace engineering and scientific visualization.

His mission is to make shared digital spaces accessible and interoperable, empowering people of all skill levels to build and inhabit the next generation of online worlds.
