Elizabeth Rood is a Senior Fellow at the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop with expertise in child and youth development, applied research, and product development for kid-focused products. She provides R&D services focused on digital media, reimagined learning, and the creation of innovative kids' products, with a particular focus on the intersection between well-being and emerging technology. She is an co-author of Swimming with Sharks and Walking on Mars (https://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED631188.pdf) summarizing cross-sectoral work in immersive technology in secondary education, as well as two upcoming guides for developers of virtual and mixed reailty experiences for youth. 

Prior to her work in kids tech and media, Elizabeth spent fifteen years as an executive in education organizations and schools. She has a doctorate in education and an extensive background translating research on kids' development for industry and parents.
