AWE USA 2026
Shortly after moving from Pakistan to the U.S. for college, Asad created two pioneering headset-based AR experiences that premiered at major film festivals: Terminal 3 on HoloLens at Tribeca in 2018, and A Jester’s Tale on Magic Leap at Sundance in 2019.
After graduating from Bennington College, Asad founded Jadu to bring this distinct brand of AR out of headsets and onto the phones people use every day. Since then, Jadu has reached millions through holographic performances featuring figures like Lil Nas X and Serena Williams, and through two highly rated mobile AR games: a multiplayer PvP fighter and a roguelite shooter. The company’s Web3 collections, including collaborations with Lewis Hamilton, Michael Bay, and Snoop Dogg, generated over $30M in trading volume while raising the profile of AR as an emerging entertainment format. Jadu has raised more than $40M from investors including Bain Capital Crypto and General Catalyst.
Today, as AI reshapes how reality is created, mediated, and trusted, Asad is focused on Jadu’s next chapter: AR that treats reality not as a backdrop, but as the point.
Asad was named one of Variety’s 10 Innovators to Watch, Rolling Stone’s Future 25, and Forbes’ 30 Under 30. He also serves as a Board Member of the American Pakistan Foundation.
