AWE USA 2026
It’s true that AI eats UI. As agentic AI proliferates, it’s rapidly transforming interactions and navigation, and rendering traditional interfaces obsolete. But as user expectations of AI skyrocket, it faces a tall order in XR: Do the invisible work and make the friction disappear, but in a way that we can still see, control, and experience in physical space. Agentic AI design in XR has to be staggeringly dynamic. This talk explores the design principles behind next-generation AI companions in MR, AR, and VR Leah will break down how to intentionally shape an agent’s personality, its visual–auditory signaling, its morphing form and presence, its ability to guide without overstepping, and its role as both helper and narrative anchor. Using real examples live from the lab, she’ll share a practical framework for designing agents that make spatial experiences feel adaptive, alive, and deeply human. Attendees will walk away with creative best practices for building AI agents that don’t just live in space — but reshape it.
