Phylis West-Johnson, Ph.D., Professor and former director of the School of Journalism & Mass Communications at San Jose State University (Silicon Valley) is lead author on several books about tech culture,  including Journalism in an Age of Technological Advancements, Changing Demographics and Social Issues (2022) and the forthcoming book, How Women Conquer the Metaverse (2026).    She has presented internationally on how emerging technologies shape our culture.  She has worked with companies on building their communication strategies and marketing profiles in the Middle East and Silicon Valley
