Tina Korani is an Associate Professor of Digital Media at San José State University, where she co-founded the Immersive Storytelling Lab with Dr. Phylis West-Johnson and teaches UX/UI design, AR/VR technologies, and AI-integrated creative workflows. She holds a BA in Visual Communication from Art University of Tehran and an MFA in Graphic Design from Louisiana State University. Since joining SJSU in 2017, her work has spanned immersive climate documentaries, XR accessibility research, and AI-powered education platforms.



Tina is an Apple Distinguished Educator (2026), Adobe Education Institute Fellow, one of 18 members worldwide on Adobe's Photoshop Customer Advisory Board, and Vice Head of the AEJMC Visual Communication Division. She has delivered 60+ workshops at institutions including Stanford, Cornell, and the University of Toronto, as well as industry events like Adobe Summit and Autodesk University.



She is driven by the belief that emerging technologies should empower everyone, not just those with privilege, to create, learn, and thrive.
