Karen Alexander, PhD, draws on her unique experience and expertise to deliver executive-level strategic advisory, institutional decision-making, and governance and risk strategy on immersive media and spatial technology. She helps presidents, academic leaders, and innovation teams make informed decisions, build consensus, and move from experimentation to impact.  

Dr. Alexander is Board President of the 501(c)(3) non-profit XR Women Global, a community of more than 1,500 members across 60+ countries recognized for advancing learning, leadership, and career pathways in immersive technologies. She is also Co-Founder and Member of the Board of Directors at the Academy of Immersive Arts & Sciences and contributes to field-shaping efforts including the IEEE Computer Society’s Technology Predictions, the Immersive Learning Research Network’s State of XR and Immersive Learning reports, and initiatives focused on the future of learning and work.
