Kermit J. Shao havs spent the last two decades building at the edge of what is possible in hardware, communication, and human-computer-interface technology.
During that time, he have founded and scaled companies through major technology shifts, from the rise of mobile hardware to the evolution of embedded computing and industrial computers.
Along the way he founded and scaled multiple companies with one IPO and two exits. Founded Speedata in 2008 and led it to IPO (NQ: 832442 China) , and acquired by Newland (SZSE: 000997) at a valuation exceeding US$40 million (2019). Founded Wiseasy in 2012 and exited in 2015; the company was later invested by Qualcomm (2024).
What drives him is not just curiosity, but a conviction that new interfaces create new markets, one that will fundamentally reshape how we perceive and interact with digital content. At CubeVI, they are building the infrastructure to accelerate that future — one where spatial, immersive, emotionally resonant experiences are not a concept, but a new human-computer-interface and a seamless part of everyday life.
