Parisa Vatanka, PharmD is Co-Founder & CEO of Digital.Health, a platform and global community dedicated to accelerating the discovery, evaluation, and adoption of digital health and AI solutions to usher in a new era of health and human flourishing. Through Digital.Health, she convenes clinicians, innovators, health systems, and industry leaders to translate emerging technologies into practical solutions that improve care delivery and patient outcomes.

Risa brings over three decades of experience across clinical practice, healthcare innovation, and professional leadership. Earlier in her career, she practiced pharmacy in community and health system settings, where she designed and implemented innovative care delivery models including expanding pharmacist-delivered immunization programs and tobacco cessation services to improve access to preventive care and population health initiatives. Her frontline clinical experience continues to inform her work advancing digitally enabled care.

She holds a faculty appointment at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy and is a member of the NextMed Health Vanguard, an interdisciplinary community focused on catalyzing a more human-centric, technology-enabled future of health.

Risa earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and completed postgraduate training including a Pharmacy Practice Residency at UCSF and an Administrative Pharmacy Residency at Stanford University. She also completed externships with the U.S. Public Health Service - Indian Health Service and is a Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist, trained at the Mayo Clinic Nicotine Dependence Center.
