Michael Powell, PhD, is the co-founder and CEO of Immergo Labs, an AI and XR company building a platform for immersive, remote physical therapy and movement care. He has a background in biomechanics, engineering, and machine learning, with research focused on human movement and performance. Prior to Immergo, he worked as a personal trainer, giving him firsthand experience with the challenges of coaching movement and patient adherence. Immergo is currently running a VA-backed usability study with over 20 veterans enrolled, has secured over $1M in NSF funding, and is live with early paying users. The team has published extensively in XR and biomechanics and is working with healthcare systems and leading XR partners to bring immersive rehabilitation into real-world care.
